Frequently Asked Questions

Find answers to common questions about Days at the Office.

Yes. Days at the Office is designed with privacy as a core principle. All your location data stays on your device and is never uploaded to our servers or shared with anyone. We don't have access to your location history, visit records, or any personal information. Your data is yours alone.
No. Days at the Office uses iOS's built-in geofencing technology, which is extremely battery-efficient. The app only activates when you cross the boundary of a location you've set up—it doesn't constantly track your GPS position in the background. Most users report no noticeable impact on battery life.
When you add a location, you set a detection radius (the default is 100 meters). The app uses GPS geofencing to detect when you enter and exit that area. It then calculates how long you were there and determines whether it counts as a "day" based on your configured time threshold (for example, 2 hours minimum).
Free users can track one location with full functionality. Pro unlocks up to 20 active locations—perfect for people who split time between multiple offices, client sites, or co-working spaces. Pro also includes PDF and CSV exports for your personal records. Pro is $39.99/year or $4.99/month.
A qualified day is any calendar day where your total time at a location meets or exceeds your configured threshold. The default is 2 hours, but you can adjust this in each location's settings. If you have multiple short visits on the same day, the app adds them together—so a morning session plus an afternoon session can still count as one qualified day.
